Donations
PayPal handles your payment details. I store the donation amount, payment reference, batch, any sponsored plushie choice, dedication or shoutout note, and any social platform, handle, and permission you provide. I use those details to track sponsorships and arrange thank-yous. Social handles are shared publicly only with your permission. Dedication and shoutout notes are visible only in my private admin area and are not published.
Location suggestions
Approved organization details appear in the public directory. Your email address is visible only in the studio’s admin area, so I can follow up on your suggestion. Do not submit private addresses. The public street address, city, state, and ZIP code are sent to the U.S. Census Bureau’s address lookup service to find an approximate map pin. Your email and donation notes are not sent to that service.
Maps and cookies
The map uses state boundary data served by this site. “Near me” asks your browser for permission and uses your location in your browser; I do not store it. Session cookies protect forms and keep the administrator signed in. There are no advertising trackers or analytics in this site.
Affiliate links
The Yarn I love page includes affiliate links. If you follow one, you’ll visit the yarn retailer’s website, which has its own privacy and cookie practices. I may earn a commission from purchases made through these links.
